CP Exclusive: Natalie Grant Hosts Christian Dating Show Pilot 'It Takes a Church'

GSN is excited to tell the Christian Post that multiple Dove Award winner Natalie Grant will be the host for a pilot episode of new Christian themed dating show called, "It Takes A Church."

"I am absolutely thrilled to join GSN and the great folks I'll meet as host of 'It Takes A Church,'" said Grant to CP. "Church has always played such a vital role in my life, and I'm really excited to watch these congregations help their fellow parishioners find love!"

The show will revolve around the members of a church going on a mission to find love for "one lucky, single, parishioner ... without his or her knowledge," the release said.

Every week "It Takes a Church" will visit a new congregation from across the country to inform a single person that they will be getting help in the dating world. The pastor of the church will then inform his congregation of the task at hand, and they will go out and try to find the best possible match for the single.

At the end of the show, the contestant will pick which date they would like to accept, and the winning matchmaker will get a donation to their church.

The show is produced by Authentic Entertainment for GSN, with Tom Rogan and Lauren Lexton ("The Best Thing I Ever Ate") serving as Executive Producers along with Richard Hall ("The Amazing Race") of Great Blue Productions. Sean Kelly ("Minute to Win It") is Consulting Producer.

Another Christian-themed show, "The American Bible Challenge," hosted by Jeff Foxworthy, is entering its third season on GSN.

It was the highest-rated original series of all time, and they are currently casting for the upcoming season, according to GSN.

Grant's record label, Curb, will be releasing a new single every Tuesday until her newest album Hurricane comes out. The first single was released Tuesday.

Fans can get the exclusively on iTunes only tracks for an early preview of the Oct. 15 project.

The three tracks in the iTunes promotion include "For All Of Us" http://bit.ly/forallofus (Tuesday, 9/24), "Burn Bright" (Tuesday, 10/01) and "Closer To Your Heart" (Tuesday, 10/08).

The deluxe album version of Hurricane is now available for pre-order on iTunes at http://bit.ly/NATALIE.

The album's lead single, "Hurricane," was number one on iTunes in just a few hours, and became the fastest rising single of her career on the charts.

Hurricane is made up of songs that explain and go through the emotions of real storms in Grant's life.

"I really felt like a Hurricane was going on in our lives these past few years, and I wrote the songs on the album from the perspective that there is always a better day coming," Grant said. "Along the way, I rediscovered myself, my art, and my faith and feel as a result, that I can honestly help others find the same."
