Washington Redskins Kedric Golston powerful testimony

Washington Redskins defensive player Kedric Golston shares how God guided his path to the pros when it looked unlikely that he would make it. The defensive end almost saw his football career go up in flames after he got into a terrifying car accident in his senior year in high school.

“Flipped my truck five times. Got thrown out of the truck. Broke my leg. Ended up getting a staph infection in my lungs. If God didn’t want me to play football, he could have taken it away right there,” he said.

After winning the NFC East last year, the Redskins have struggled. They are currently 2-4 and sit in third place behind the Dallas Cowboys (4-3) and Philadelphia Eagles (3-4). Yet Golston hasn’t let those current frustrations affect his faith.

“He’s my Lord and my Savior. I count it all joy that he came into this world as a man, dealt with all the things I dealt with, and died on the cross for my sins,” Golston said. “I’m going to serve him because he’s my Savior. He’s my Lord and the Head of my life. I’m going to honor him with all I do.”
