Hot on the heels of their #1 Active Rock single ”Feel Invincible,” Skillet have released a video for the follow-up track from the band’s latest critically-acclaimed album, Unleashed. “Back From The Dead” premiered exclusively on Nerdist.com (http://nerdist.com/skillet-punch-zombies-in-the-face-in-back-from-the-dead-premiere/) yesterday. The video tells the story of the band escaping from a testing facility and being chased by hordes of zombies. The “Back From The Dead” video gives a nod back to the band’s “Monster” video (https://youtu.be/1mjlM_RnsVE) from 2009 that has been viewed over 183-million times on YouTube.
“Back From The Dead” was directed by Roland Bingaman and can be seen here: https://youtu.be/JsbqTHift_8. The zombie-inspired clip showcases the band’s love of the undead and horror as John Cooper explained to Nerdist.com:
“The first zombie film I saw was 28 Days Later, which I loved. The band watches The Walking Dead religiously as well. I am a fan of comics, supernatural stories, and horror in general. That comes across throughout the video.”
